Bio- Felicia Hardy father was a well known cat burglar.
Before his arrest he encouraged her never to settle for second best.
In Felicia's freshmen year of college she was "date raped" by her boyfriend Ryan.
Felicia, not wanting to be a victim, decided she was going to kill him.
She stopped her school work and started training in fighting styles and acrobatics.
She soon set out to get her revenge but Ryan was already killed in a drunk driving accident.
Felicia, angry at the fact she couldn't take the life of the man who had stolen her's, decided to follow her father's footstep and become a cat burglar.
After acquiring a fortune in stolen items, she donned her costume identity.
The first time she used her Black Cat costume was when she decided she would break her father out of prison.
That same night she met Spider-Man, and even though she hated men in general, she liked him.
Spider-Man was the first man she felt she could trust and she grew to love him.
Black Cat made every attempt to get Spidey to see the good in her; he did.
Black Cat found a way to really prove herself to Spidey when she discovered that the Kingpin possessed a powerful detonator.
The Owl planned to use it to hold New York City hostage.
Doc Ock planned to use it to destroy the city all together.
Black Cat was able to steal it before either of the two were able to and she kept it safe until she gave it to Spider-Man.
Now Black Cat is one of the Heroes For Hire and is fighting on Iron Man's side (pro Registration Act) in the Civil War.
